    In Hajdúszoboszló, the Kisbödön packaging-free shop is hidden at the bottom of the cinema passage, which has been serving its environmentally conscious audience since April 2021. Food, hygiene products, cosmetics, handicraft products, and cleaning products can also be found in their offer. True to the principles of packaging-free shops, there are no pre-measured products, you can buy exactly as much of everything as you need, you do not have to worry about carrying leftover food unnecessarily while travelling. Do not forget to prepare your own storage containers, jars, and boxes, as the kind servers will measure everything in these for you! 

    Local products, from local producers: Cirkele (Eger)

    The packaging-free shop in Eger awaits conscious shoppers with a constantly renewed product range. They work with countless producers and artisans from Eger and the surrounding area, ensuring the smallest possible ecological footprint of their products and strengthening the local economy. In addition to all this, they also place emphasis on waste-free purchasing. If you want to return home with some local speciality, you do not have to look any further, as there are products from Eger, Egerszalók, Heves, Túrkeve or even Noszvaj. Cirkele is not only a simple packaging-free shop, but also a café and community space, so if you visit, it is worth checking what programmes they offer: for example, you can catch a syrup and jam tasting or a sourdough bread baking workshop.

    Tasty, delicious, mouthwatering: Pixis Delikát (Cegléd)

    Pixis Delikát is a delicatessen and café located in the centre of Cegléd, offering quality products from Hungarian and international producers. The founding ladies sell products that they love and use regularly. In the spirit of zero waste, in addition to food, you also find natural cosmetics and environmentally friendly household items on the shelves. The aim of the shop is to bring quality Hungarian products into as many households as possible. In addition, they also welcome visitors with coffee, tea and delicious cakes. What is more, Pixis is not only a shop, but also a community, in the spirit of which you can learn from the founding ladies at various workshops and product presentations, of course, in the spirit of zero waste.

    Measure it, fill it, take it home: Zöld Misszió (Green Mission) Packaging-Free Shop (Kecskemét)

    Both beginner and more experienced environmentalists are welcomed at the Zöld Misszió Packaging-Free Shop in Kecskemét, where you can collect your fairing in your own containers, bags and bottles, thus reducing waste caused by single-use packaging. You can find on the shop’s shelves packaging-free or refillable products made from natural and organic ingredients, mainly from domestic manufacturers. The product range includes food, natural cosmetics and environmentally friendly household items.

    Everything is better in green: Zöld Sarok (Green Corner) (Székesfehérvár)

    In the only packaging-free shop in Székesfehérvár, various seeds, legumes, spices, teas, granolas and pasta are available by measure. Jams, syrups in glass jars, as well as environmentally friendly cleaning products and cosmetics can also be found on the offer. If the customer does not bring their own containers, the shop also offers the possibility of purchasing them, so both advanced and beginner environmentally conscious customers are welcomed! Incidentally, the owners try to provide comprehensive information and advice to those interested.

    The packaging-free lifestyle is becoming available in more and more corners of the country, which you can now confidently pursue as travellers. Every small step counts in protecting our planet, let's not forget this even when exploring new places!
