Located on the outskirts of Miskolc, at the gateway to the Bükk, the Visitor Center, inaugurated at the end of 2023, is organised around five elements (World of Caves, Karst and Karst Water, Cavemen in the Bükk, Landscape and Wildlife, Landscape History), and offers a variety of exciting activities for children and adults, with an activity and projection room, a playground and a playhouse, and a total of 2070 square metres of indoor and outdoor space. There are more than 1300 caves in the Bükk , many of which have yielded significant archaeological material – one of the most important being the Szeleta cave, from which this visitor center takes its name.
