The artificial pond named after archaeologist János Dombay lies two kilometres from Pécsvárad. The lake was “born” only 60 years ago at the suggestion of the researcher, but since then it has been one of the locals’ favourite attractions. The neat green area surrounded by trees exudes tranquillity. Its surroundings have recently been renovated, stairs have been added to the lake, a pavement has been built around it, and a pleasant recreation area has been created next to it.
