Tamás-hegy

A lesser-known panoramic gem in Balatonfüred. The huge cross at the foot of Tamás Hill, accessible via a few steps, is an interesting sight in itself. The real speciality, however, is the view emerging from behind the cross, from which you can see the Tihany Peninsula and the southern coast. It is also worth walking along the Aranyember útja (Golden Man's Path) nature trail that starts from here, and if you can handle the hiking, you can also hike up to the Jókai lookout. The cross is beautifully illuminated in the evenings, so you can admire it from almost all parts of Füred.
