Near Máriagyűd, at the foot of the Tenkes Mountain, lies the 2-hectare private arboretum of Kálmán Huber. The garden with a Mediterranean microclimate is home to nearly 400 woody plants imported from more than 50 countries around the world, grown from native habitat seeds. Here you will find the largest collection of evergreen oaks in Central Europe, with 34 species, but the estate also has a variety of plants from almost every continent’s Mediterranean flora.
