Urbex tour in the Szikla, Lillafüred

This tour takes you to one of Lillafüred’s most mysterious places: the Szikla, carved into the mountain, was originally built as a shelter, later served as a military facility, and subsequently operated as an entertainment venue. For now, whilst it is still in its current state prior to renovation, you can explore its long corridors and rooms, whilst the guides recount the history of the facility and the legends associated with it. The urban exploration experience here is no mere spectacle: the two-hour, small-group guided tour begins with participants donning helmets and headlamps, with the necessary equipment provided by the Bükk National Park Directorate. The programme is open only to those aged 18 and over and requires a ticket purchased online in advance. The announced dates for the autumn–winter series are 10 October, 13 November and 12 December; all three tours start at 12 noon.
