Szilvás-kő

Volcanic adventure in Salgótarján. Szilvás-kő, one of the volcanic monadnocks in the Karancs-Medves region, is a lesser-known excursion site, but it is definitely worth a visit! On the 625-metre-high mountain, you can admire the impressive basalt columns and examine the deep fissures left behind by the former volcano. If you visit here, do not miss the geological nature trail, which you can even walk with children.
