The town of Szeged once again becomes a favourite destination for wine lovers.
The Wine square festival will be held between 18-22 September for the 12th time on the impressive Dóm Square in Szeged. The special event brings together the country's excellent winemakers and the wine-loving public: many of Hungary's famous wine regions - including Villány, Tokaj, Eger, Szekszárd, Badacsony, Izsák and Pannonhalma - are represented at the festival, but local wineries also present themselves. However, the festival is not only a celebration of wines: other gastronomic delights, craft exhibitors and special brandy houses also await visitors. Jazz and blues performers and background music productions ensure a pleasant atmosphere on the two stages set up on Dóm Square.
