The Harvest Festival, which has been held in Tokaj since 1932, will be held this year between 3 and 5 October under the motto “White wines, colourful culture”. This year we can celebrate a very special anniversary, the 950th birthday of Tokaj, with a toast to the best of the famous Tokaj wines. The event is a meeting of wine culture and tradition, with the region’s best wineries presenting their lots, accompanied by concerts, folk dance performances and a harvest parade. The gastronomic promenade offers delicious food, while the street of craftsmen and artisans offers unique gifts. The grape marriage ceremony also features the ceremonially combinated harvest of the mayors of the wine region. Picturesque scenery, fine wines, rich cultural heritage – what more does one need?
