Slaughtermen’s Competition on the Dráva Riverside 2025

The Slaughtermen’s Competition on the Dráva Riverside awaits the lovers of gastronomy and traditions again in 2025: on 8 February, the pig slaughter traditions will come to life in Darány, and the country's renowned slaughtermen will compete in their skills. The competition will begin with the processing of pigs slaughtered on site, and then you can watch the traditional tricks of making hog's puddings, sausages and pig-feast dishes. The atmosphere will be completed by colourful programmes, freshly roasted pig-feast delicacies and mulled wine.
