Eating sausages – despite being not exactly diet-compatible – is a way of life. On 5 November, you can indulge in this passion in Alsóörs, where the one-day festival offers much more than just dipping freshly fried sausages in mustard. There will also be a sausage stuffing competition, plenty of mulled wine and brandy (pálinka), so fun is guaranteed. The competition is open to anyone who thinks they have the recipe for the perfect sausage. And if the flavours and aromas on site tempt you to do some gastronomic shopping, you are sure to find something to suit your taste from the offer of local artisan producers.
