Onion with onion…Kabos, Gyula would say in his characteristic voice if he visited the festival.
Red onion, onion, shallot, garlic, spring onion…all of them are onions in honour of which a festival was organized for the first time in 1991. Then it was intended only as a professional
conference, but over the years the event grew into a three-day programme. This year, the festival will take place between 13-15 September, as usual on Széchenyi Square in Makó.
Admission is free, and in addition to onion-centric programmes, there will also be various sports and entertainment programmes.
