Haluska poems, verses and haluska-eating competition: the 19th Haluska Festival awaits us!
Potato-based haluska, i.e. sztrapacska, is a typical dish of the “Slovak Relations”. Legend says that our famous landsman, Mikszáth Kálmán, also liked it, especially what Aunt Csadó, then Rozika, cooked for him at Mauks Ilonka. The jury will decide who will cook the tastiest one on this day. One thing is sure: on 14 September, no one will remain hungry at the 19th Haluska Festival!
