Who will have this year’s prize-winning sausage?
On 15 February, as is now a tradition, the Butcher Show and Sausage Stuffing and Roasting Competition will pepper the chilly February air in Ásotthalom! The programme starts early in the morning: the teams welcome the day with a traditional pig slaughter and local brandy. The main attraction of the event is the sausage stuffing competition, where the sausages competing for the title of best sausage have to be prepared within three hours. In addition to tasty treats, there is also a wide range of activities for children and adults: folk games, quizzes, music, a fair and a horn cake demonstration are in the repertoire, and the music of the LagziSokk band will accompany the all-day fun.
