At the end of March, when the almond trees are in bloom, Balatonakali celebrates! For two days, wine tasting, local delicacies and professional presentations await us. Wandering along the slopes of Fenye Hill and Les Hill, you can discover the gems of the folk architecture of the Balaton Uplands: the wine cellars built in the 18th-19th centuries, which still stand in their original beauty today. The facades with barge-course, wrought-iron decorated windows and sun-flooded doors offer a fabulous view with the panorama of Lake Balaton in the background. During the wine tour, local winemakers guide you through their cellars, and in addition to fresh wines, almond dishes, local delicacies and of course the sight of the blooming almond trees complete the experience.
