The secret of the Zsolnay Mausoleum at the Winter Solstice

Legend has it that in the Zsolnay Mausoleum on the winter solstice, when the Sun is at its zenith, the light that falls reveals the secret of eosin. The museum window is positioned to coincide with the winter solstice, and the sunlight creates a unique play of light in an already colourful space. If we are lucky, we will be able to witness this miraculous phenomenon during group walks in the Zsolnay Quarter in December. Participation is subject to ticket purchase.
