Zrínyi-vár (Szigetvár)

This 600-year-old fortress is home to a thousand stories. The castle was a key defender of the country against the Turks; it was here that Miklós Zrínyi fought a heroic battle against Sultan Suleiman. Just imagine, the Turkish besiegers outnumbered the castle’s defenders by nearly forty to one! Walk through the castle dungeon, take a look at the weapons, costumes and tools on display, and finally, visit the mosque built by the Turks.
