A real journey through time in Szombathely, at Central Europe’s biggest historical festival in costume!
The 21st Savaria Historical Carnival will take us back in time between 22-25 August. On the last weekend of August, the city centre, built on Roman foundations, will be a colourful cavalcade of revived details from the past, offering a sophisticated summer experience. The two-thousand-year-old city will be dressed to the nines with a rich programme of educational and entertaining activities. During the historical journey through time, visitors can encounter re-enactments of historical events and figures in numerous locations.
