On the second weekend of September, the streets of the wine region are filled with brass band music, traditional dance groups perform at the event venue, and the aroma of Swabian and German specialties wafts from the food stands. The Swabian Music Weekend is one of the most significant celebrations of the local German ethnic culture in Hungary, attracting thousands of visitors to Villány year after year. During the two-day festival, Hungarian and international brass bands, dance ensembles, and orchestras take turns on stage, while visitors can sample authentic Swabian dishes, German beers, and Villány wines.
