We bid farewell to summer with water lanterns in Balatongyörök
The Györök Eternal Festival will be held again on 12 September in Balatongyörök. The organizers are preparing sports programmes, community games, and an evening water lantern programme. The event takes place around the pier and on the beach: the programme includes a bike skills competition, beach volleyball, SUP activities, paddle boat races, a cannon-pulling, and various sports challenges, as well as a gastronomic tour and evening concerts. One of the most spectacular parts of the festival is the water lantern-lit farewell to summer, when glowing lanterns float on the waters of Lake Balaton during the evening concert.
