St. Martin’s Day Goose Feast

Around St. Martin’s Day in Etyek, two things are sure to make an appearance: geese and new wine. Year after year, the Rókusfalvy Estate organises the ‘Libadalom’ festival centred around these, where, alongside St. Martin’s Day dishes and Etyek wines, the day’s most unusual competition also returns: the goose chase held amongst the vine rows, where children and adults alike can put to the test just how cooperative a competitor they’ve managed to catch. The event is also a great excuse to explore the Etyek wine region once again this autumn.
