Five Churches Festival

This year, for the 18th time, the festival celebrates the peaceful coexistence of different religions in Győr. The centre of the event, which will be held from 11-15 May, is again the special feature of Győr-Újváros, the street where five churches representing different religions (Evangelical, Serbian Orthodox, Jewish, Reformed, Catholic) are located. The theatre, literature, music and visual arts programmes aim to build bridges between different religions and cultures, helping to ensure that the yardstick for how we treat each other is not an external factor but genuine human values. The five-day festival is definitely worth a visit to Győr!
