The streets of Debrecen are bursting into bloom!
The Debrecen Flower Carnival is a highlight of the year, held almost every year since its debut in 1966 in honour of the founding of the state. This internationally renowned event is usually a series of events taking place at various locations throughout the town, featuring concerts, plays, exhibitions, and dance performances, but its most spectacular element is when a colourful procession of floats adorned with gigantic flower arrangements marches through the town, accompanied by Hungarian and foreign art groups, majorette groups, flag-twisters, and brass bands.
