Gábor Krüzsely, born in Ungvár in 1972, obtained a drawing teacher’s diploma in 1995, followed by a visual communication qualification at the Eszterházy Károly Teacher Training College in Eger. Since 1992, he has participated in numerous prestigious exhibitions, and his works are part of collections, including the Corvinus Art Collection. Gábor Krüzsely’s paintings evoke the worlds of Western modernism and abstract expressionism, yet embody a 21st-century, contemporary, poetic, playful and humorous style. His works balance between symbolic abstraction and concrete representation, blending figurative and non-figurative elements. Drawing from surrealism and constructivism, his style conveys social messages through vibrant colours and geometric shapes.
The ‘Connections’ series emphasises the importance of relationships. As the holidays approach, Gábor Krüzsely’s latest paintings encourage visitors to give as much attention as possible to friends and loved ones in an increasingly alienated world. His figures dance and embrace within invisible webs, expressing the joy of life and playfulness. The works explore questions of human existence and spiritual essence, seeking harmony. Gábor Krüzsely’s paintings invite viewers into a mysterious universe where connections take centre stage, offering a playful escape from everyday reality.
