Reception of the first ship 2025

On 19 April, the Hungarian sea will come back to life with the traditional opening of the Balaton sailing season. The festive event of the lake waking up from its winter sleep is the Reception of the First Ship in Balatonfüred. The sound of ship horns and the square music of the brass band create a festive atmosphere in the area around the port, where the ship is greeted alongside the sounds of the National Anthem and the Balaton Anthem. The flag raising is also a highlight of the celebration, followed by folk dance performances and cultural programmes.
