‘Balázs-related Traditions at Lake Balaton’

This year again, the traditional Balázs Day Mass and the associated Balázs Blessing will take place on the first Saturday of February. In Catholic terminology, the Balázs Blessing is the ceremony performed by the priest on 3 February or the following Mass. He then places two crossed candles under the throats of the faithful to prevent sore throats. We can never be too careful, let’s play the Balázs ceremonies together and avoid a sore throat!
