The Hotel Tornácos and Restaurant has been awaiting guests in Hegykő since 1996: today the Hospely family’s second generation works in the accommodation and restaurant offering complex services. The boys and their families participate in the day-to-day working of the accommodation and restaurant, it is almost impossible to arrive without meeting any of them. Bearing the styling features of the folk architecture of Fertő landscape the building of the Hotel Tornácos was designed by József Koller, Teréz Zámbó YBL award-winning designer couple, it praises the folk craftsmen Alajos Kovács, Terka Patonai and Ferenc Brodzky and craftsmen from the neighbouring villages for their work. In the restaurant of the house, besides the traditional Hungarian flavours, we can also taste international food specialties and seasonal peculiarities. The dishes are based on traditional ingredients from the region. A summer terrace, a grill garden, a veranda and a winter garden, as well as a confectionery belong to the restaurant. There is also a culinary grocery store here: the Spejz (Pantry), where we can buy the “Quality of the countryside” labelled products from domestic producers. Besides the various wines, syrups, cheeses, spices, honey, chocolates, green walnut products and paprika products, we can also find the offer of 1Csepp Pálinka (1Drop Spirit) in Hegykő, but we can also choose from jewellery and ceramics.

In 2020, the Porch was expanded with a new apartment house, the building complex is 100 meters away from the main building. 10 rooms can be found here (while there are 23 rooms in the main building), in which double rooms, family suits, but a perfect 4-room apartment for groups of friends have been also established. A panoramic balcony belongs to most of the rooms where is a wonderful view of the reeds of the Fertő-Hanság National Park. In both accommodations breakfast can be enjoyed in the restaurant of Hotel Tornácos, as the wellness and SPA services (adventure pool, Finnish sauna, steam cabin with aroma and colour therapy, relaxation garden, quiet room with water beds and salt wall, fitness room) can be found here. The wellness area is 450 m2 in the building, where the adventure pool with hydromassage and counter-current provides complete relaxation.

And let's not forget that numerous good programs await us in Hegykő: the Lace Museum, the Railway Lamp Museum, the fishing lake, the country houses in Fertőszéplak, the nearby Quarry of Fertőrákos and the 1Csepp Pálinka Distillery. The thermal bath of Hegykő awaits us all year round with its open and indoor pools, the medicinal water of Hegykő with a temperature of 55 ° C brought to the surface from a depth of 1434 meters, and here, of course, we can also use various treatments. Take a hike in the National Park, take part in birdwatching at dawn, or go on a canoe trip where you can admire the rich wildlife of the countryside. But you can also take a carriage ride, ride a horse in the nearby Nagycenk, or even starting from here we can ride a bike around Lake Fertő.  The adventures provided by the Fertő-Hanság National Park, the thermal bath of Hegykő, the bicycle paths surrounding Lake Fertő, and the cultural programs all contribute our guests to return to Hegykő and Tornácos. Because sometimes it’s good to stop, to gather common experiences in a place free from the noise of the world. And the Hospely family does their best to make us feel at home at their place.
