Have you never tried "csergetés"? Head to Hajdúszoboszló for a unique New Year's Eve party this year!
Legends have it, that on 31st December in 1559, the Turkish army attacking "Szoboszló" was driven off with the sound of cowbell and the cracking of whips. Since then, this victory has been celebrated every year. This year, the New Year's Eve "csergetés" in the town's main square will hopefully once again ward off the 'evil forces' and ensure us about 2023 turning out to be a great year. The free event will feature colourful programmes including concerts.
