Don’t expect real petals, but an impressive sight!
The mayfly, contrary to its deceptive name, is not a plant, but a special insect known for its surprisingly short life span here on Earth (hence the saying “long as a mayfly’s life” or “mayfly-life”). This year, on 24 June, on the banks of the Holt Tisza (Dead arm of the River Tisza), you can get a glimpse of the special process by which the larvae become adults. In addition to the natural wonders of Tiszafüred, the organisers are also preparing a number of exciting programmes.
