Zsolnay Aranykora - Gyugyi-gyűjtemény

One of the permanent exhibitions and a jewel of the Zsolnay district is one of the most significant Zsolnay collections in the world. All the works of art in the exhibition, consisting of more than 600 pieces, were made in the Zsolnay factory in the period from the 1870s to the end of the 1910s. This period was the golden age of the factory, when the decorative ceramics of Pécs were popular, famous and sought after all over the world. The collection, which includes decorative jugs, small sculptures, plates, vases and flower pots, bears witness to the development, diversity and three great eras of Zsolnay decorative ceramics – the periods of historicism, the millennium and secession.
