The Jókai–Endrődi bean soup festival pays tribute to the poets and writers who love Lake Balaton and its literature: the lives of Sándor Endrődi, Mór Jókai and Dr. Tivadar Mihálkovics are commemorated with a wreath-laying ceremony, a boat parade and literary programmes. The highlight of the programme is the joint tasting of the legendary Jókai bean soup, which is not only a taste experience but also a community tradition. The Alsóörs Pier and the Cultural Center will host this special, nostalgic event.
