This summer we are celebrating a special anniversary together in Sümeg: the Jakab Days are being held for the twentieth time!
The Jakab Days evoke the traditions and community spirit of Sümeg for the 20th time. The two-day programme series focuses on the culture of winemaking and hunting: local wineries offer their succulent wines on the “Wine Street”, and on Saturday, as part of the County Hunting Day, the programme is enriched by falconry demonstrations, a cooking competition for hunting societies and a trophy exhibition. A playhouse, folk games and an open-air cinema await families, while adults can enjoy the summer-end atmosphere at concerts and folklore shows. The event venues are the Castle Garden and the Hétvezér Square, where a genuine festival atmosphere unfolds in the evening.
