Commemorating together on the Tagore Promenade.
On 22 September, the anniversary of the birth of Count István Széchenyi, Balatonfüred will be in a festive mood again. The venue of the memorial ceremony will be the Tagore Promenade, where the official wreath-laying ceremony will be held at the statue of Széchenyi. The programme will be complemented by ceremonial speeches, musical accompaniment by participating artists and cultural quotes, which reflect in a worthy way on the work of the outstanding figure of the Reform Era. The event is a low-key but deeply meaningful commemoration, which is an important part of the town’s historical identity.
