A true celebration for folk dance lovers!
At the Gencs Broom Folk Dance Festival, for the twenty-eighth time, artists from the most diverse regions of the Carpathian Basin will dance. In the green of the sports field in Gencsapáti, the violin plays, the cimbalom swings, and the rustle of twirling skirts and fluttering sleeves fills the space. The goal of the festival is not competition, but rather introduction, mutual inspiration and professional development – at the same time, the jury recognizes the most outstanding productions with a special award. By the end of the day, the event becomes a celebration of joint dancing and friendship, where tradition lives on.
