In addition to the 5-bedroom Mythos Manor and the 8-bedroom Mythos Luxury Residence, the estate also offers two other types of accommodations: you can stay in traditional, rustic-style houses evoking the atmosphere of Hungarian folk architecture, or in one of the luxury forest lodges located in the estate’s acacia grove. Depending on the amenities, some cabins feature a private sauna and an outdoor hot tub, but whichever option you choose, you can relax in privacy, visually separated from the other guests.
Between the two accommodation areas lies a charming, man-made swimming lake and an adjacent bathhouse featuring a gym, an infinity pool, and a cozy sauna area. If you’d like to swap your hotel room for a starry sky, Seholsziget Adventure Park in Nőtincs is an excellent choice. In the park, you can sleep in Finnish log cabins or in cheerful, wooden-framed yurts resembling teepees. These colourful little houses, connected by a charming wooden bridge, can accommodate up to ten people. In addition to the unique accommodations, the park features alpacas, a forest nature trail, playgrounds for all age groups, and a mini-zoo; on top of all this, you can participate in numerous exciting activities – including group alpaca sessions!
Accommodations on Lake Tisza, built on the water
It’s not every day that you get the chance to literally spend the night above the water. Around Lake Tisza, you can choose from several floating houses and apartments built on the water, where you can wake up to a view of the lake in the morning and fall asleep to the serenade of the lakeside wildlife in the evening. At the Kormorán Marina in Tiszafüred, you can rent a floating house or a waterfront cabin, while at the Tündérfátyol Boat Lodging in Abádszalók, you can spend the night in rooms bobbing on the water.
When visiting this unique region, you can choose from a variety of active pursuits: kayaking, cycling, stand-up paddleboarding, or birdwatching can all be easily incorporated into your getaway.
In addition to exploring nature, you don’t have to miss out on culinary experiences either: among other places, the Sulyom Tájétterem (country restaurant) in Sarud is well worth a visit. Chef Ádám Berecz handles regional ingredients with remarkable confidence, preparing them based on local or even classic recipes. We wholeheartedly recommend the white fish soup – a long-standing menu favourite – Uncle Gyula’s fish stew, the sturgeon paprikash, or the SulyomGombóc (Sulyom Dumpling). After your meal, be sure to explore the demonstration garden right next to the restaurant, where the herbs, fruits, and vegetables used in the kitchen are grown.
